Gordon Ramsay’s newest show Next Level Chef had a successful premiere on FOX, ranking as the season’s top debut, as well as the highest-rated series premiere for FOX since 2020. New show Alter Ego also had a successful premiere, coming in second place for unscripted shows.

Gordon Ramsay’s ‘Next Level Chef’ Tops Season Ratings

According to a press release, the premiere of Next Level Chef earlier this month posted a 1.7/10 Live + 3 Day rating. It was the top program debut of the season. It was also Gordon Ramsay’s most-streamed telecast ever, and FOX’s most streamed series premiere of the season, with 909,000 total viewers on Hulu and FOX NOW.

Next Level Chef outranked the next-highest debut of the season, NBC’s La Brea, by 70 percent. Along with singing competition Alter Ego, FOX snagged the top two unscripted debuts of the season so far. It’s the third year in a row that the network had achieved this.

Last season, The Masked Dancer and I Can See Your Voice took the top spots. The season before that, it was Lego Masters and The Masked Singer: After the Mask. Next Level Chef is also FOX’s third most-streamed unscripted debut ever, after The Masked Singer and Lego Masters.

What Is ‘Next Level Chef’?

Gordon Ramsay’s newest cooking show Next Level Chef puts contestants into groups and has them working in three kitchens on three different floors. Chefs Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais serve as co-mentors on the show, along with Ramsay.

The quality of the kitchens, and the foods within them, different on each level. The top level has the highest-quality supplies and ingredients, while the basement is much more limited. The contestants have no idea which level they’ll be working in before they get off the elevator.

If you want to see what all the fuss is about, Next Level Chef airs Wednesday nights at 9/8c on FOX.
