Prior to becoming a puppeteer, he created the show Rascal Rabbit in Las Vegas. He also specialized as a cartoonist, author, speaker and artist. Throughout his career, he appeared as Big Bird on such programs as PortlandiaGood Morning America, and Jimmy Kimmel Live!.

Family Life

He married his second wife, Debra Spinney, in 1979.
